Exactly what we were hoping for.
This tread sticks really well to painted and natural wood (we're using it in our kids playhouse). It was easy to use and has a really good traction grit - I doubt kiddos will be able to slip on these even if they want to. Exactly what we were hoping for. I really appreciate that the very last inch of the roll was usable - a lot of times companies use the adhesive product to attach it to the roll - not the case here. None of the tread is wasted - the backing is what is attached to the roll, so all of the tread is usable. Pros: traction grit is really slip-resistant, easy to install Cons: none that I can think of If I could change anything about this product: nothing Packaging type: retail packaging - the tread comes rolled up in a color-printed box - exactly what I've seen in the last home improvement store I was in - just cheaper on Amazon If you found this review helpful - please click the "Yes" button below this review indicating so - thanks!

Great Durability; an Easy Way to Reduce Slip Hazards
I bought this tape a year-and-a-half ago to install at a local community arts center with slippery stairs. The stairs get very heavy traffic, yet the tape is still in great condition and performing its function well. The edges have worn off a little in spots, but generally the only damage in all of this time is a small tear in a location where the unevenness of the stair tread prevents the tape from making full contact with the tread. When I installed the tape, I did round the edges in order to reduce the likelihood that the tape could start peeling away; I don't know if this was really necessary or beneficial. I also stapled the tape in spots to ensure its adhesion, but I'm largely sure that that extra insurance was completely unnecessary - the tape seems to really adhere quite well to the steps. My only caution with this product is that if you have sensitive skin, you might want to consider wearing gloves, as pressing the gritty tape onto a lot of stairs is like rubbing your fingers against sandpaper for an hour or two.

Does What It Should *Updated*
I took a bad tumble down my porch steps while holding my toddler. The porch and stairs always get extremely slippery and after that, I went searching for some kind of grip. I have now had these on my porch and steps for 2 months and they work perfectly. It was very easy to place, just cut the corners round, peel and stick. They give a nice grip and I haven't slipped once since they have been on, even through several straight days of rain. *UPDATE August 8, 2017* Still holding up great. There has been absolutely no peeling and still not the least bit slippery. Love this product.

Works Like It Should
Out of the box they are working well as a non-skid entrance to my shed. The roll is easy to cut with basic scissors and the backing peels away easily when it is time to place them. They are a little forgiving if you miss the mark and can be put down in the right spot without much ado. My next goal is to place them on painted metal, exterior use, old running board on an auto, and if I can remember to do it I will update this for the outside usage once they go to work for a little while.

Super Strong Holding Power
Used this on my boat trailer in critical stepping areas as well as the very front of the bow. My boat is aluminum and the paint has worn away causing a very slippery surface. I busted my buns so I put 4 strategically spaced strips..... Problem solved. The material is quite thick with heavy abrasived material attached. So far they have stayed stuck even though the aluminum gets incredibly hot here in the south. You could cook on the surface yet the tape continues to hold.

Wheelchair ramp
I used this product on the ramp of my handicap van. So far it has helped with my being able to drive my electric wheelchair up the ramp when it is raining or sprinkling. Before my niece put this on, my wheelchair would slide going up the ramp when it was wet. The sliding made me very nervous because it would mean the wheelchair could have gone over the edge of the ramp. A person cannot always go when it is dry, so this helps very much. I need to order more to fill in some more places on the ramp to make it more slip resistant.

Works great!
I built a ramp going from our front to back yard. Once I was done I realized it was probably a little steeper then it should be. It was fine when it was clean and dry but as soon as it got a little bit of saw dust or mud/dirt on it felt like you might slide. I installed a strip of this stuff at the top and bottom of each board of the ramp (2x6) boards and now even my elderly neighbor says she feels comfortable going up and down the ramp. It's only been 2 months since I installed it but it doesn't show signs of wearing or peeling even though I regularly go up and down it with the lawn mower, wheelbarrow, and other equipment. I'll see how it's holding up after winter and update if it changes but I think the stuff is there to stay. I didn't prep the surface as well as I probably should have, I hosed it off but didn't bother to scrub any dirt off. Also after hosing it off I only gave it about two hours to dry. The wood wasn't soaked any more but still damp to the touch, like I said though it's been holding fine any way. As far as people that had trouble with it sticking I highly recommend doing it on a hot day, preferably with the sun beating on the tape. Also if you get a piece down and realize it's not how you want it, your going to have to toss it. Once you peel it off it just doesn't seem to stick right, even if it's only on for a second.

They haven't peeled at all! But I did clean, disinfect and dry the area of each step. I got these after falling pretty hard on my back using fuzzy socks to our downstairs laundry. I was concerned about the kids slipping so I added these on the bottom of each step. I like the good grip.

So far so good!
I purchased this tape for our back deck - it is made out of composite material and can get quite slippery. My dog slipped in the Fall and ended up having to have surgery on her knee. I placed the tape/tread on the 3 steps leading to the yard and the few feet of deck above the steps to keep her from slipping again and its working really well!! It has stayed put even though it receives direct HOT sun part of the day AND we've had some good rain as well. (we will see how it does after FEET of snow this winter). Additionally I used a couple strips on the chicken run entrance to keep the chickens nails worn down and that seems to be working well too!

I applied this in the Fall even though the outside was cool. I took a hair dry outside warmed the steps a little and then heated the tread tape.We have had four snows, one blizzard, freezing days and I have shoveled over the tape with no issues. This summer I will apply more to my ramp but will use a little extra glue around the edges just to be safe. I have 3 Golden's that race up and down the ramp. Excellent so
