Best gun oil available
I've been using the M-Pro7 products since their inception; the gun cleaner & oil on a regular basis, and the copper remover on an as-needed basis. There is no product line on the market that is better than M-Pro7... except possibly the Bullfrog RustHunter products. Unlike RustHunter, however, M-Pro7 is odorless and I can use it inside the house without my wife complaining about the smell if I want to; not to mention that RustHunter is only available in aerosol form, which I hate. [RustHunter gun cleaner also comes in field wipes, which are awesome, but the lubricant is only available as an aerosol.] The original M-Pro7 gun oil was superb, so if the LPX is an improvement over that, you can rest assured this is the best gun lubricant on the market. You only need to use a little. M-Pro7 is designed to penetrate into the pores of the metal, leaving it clean & protected, reducing friction for smooth operation. The only down side to this product isn't the product itself, but the packaging. The original oil used to come in a bottle with a long tapered nose so that it could be applied judiciously; whereas the LPX bottle has a short stubby flip nose. No problem (for me), I just refill the old bottle with the long tapered nose; and beside, I seldom apply oil directly anyway; usually a drop to a slide rail, then let it run the full length before wiping off. Other than that, I usually just put a few drops onto a patch and apply it indirectly. As I said before, you don't need to use a lot for it to be effective. I can't say enough good things about M-Pro7. When you find something that works, you stick with it. M-Pro7 works... and I'll always be sticking with it.

Excellent. Lasts forever!
I'm a big fan of M-Pro, if I could give more then 5 stars I would. I think their products are exceptional, and this gun oil is a great example. You only need a very small amount to coat all the necessary parts of your firearm, so this 4 ounce bottle will also last forever. I keep a dime close by in order to open and close the bottle. You won't find any strange smells with this oil either, some I've used before had a bit of a tangy smell, this one is much more subtle. You can't go wrong with this product. Highly recommended. I use it on my PPQ M2.

An exceptional product to lubricate your firearms to protect them from wear, moisture, and rust. What's not to like about that?
I have used M-Pro 7 LPX Gun Oil for more than 4 years and have to say, I have not found one single negative aspect with it. It is an exceptional, the next generation of products to lubricate and protect your firearms from rusting, and is one of the "Top Two" gun oils on the market today, in my opinion. I have used it on my revolvers, pistols, shotguns, rifles and Colt LE6920 M4 carbine and have never been disappointed with its ease of use or its performance in any of my firearms. I have read where some reviewers have complained about the smell of M-Pro 7 LPX Gun Oil. To poorly paraphrase the prose of the Bard (I hope he will forgive me), "A nose is a nose is a nose. A rose by any other name would smell as sweet." I actually find the M-Pro 7 LPX Gun Oil to have a very pleasant smell. I can, and have several times previously, cleaned my firearms in our Master Bedroom. When I did, I never received as much as a raised eyebrow from my wife when she came into the room. The only comment she ever made was when she asked me if I was wearing a new men;s fragrance product. I would never have cleaned one of my firearms in our Master Bedroom, or even considered having done that with the old Hoppe's gun products or some of the other stinky gun cleaning products I used before "getting high" was a fun thing to do. I've also read where some reviewers have complained about the small flip-up / flip-down applicator tip on this product in the 2 oz. and 4 oz. sizes..I keep a #1 (small) paperclip in the small ziplock bag in which I store my M-Pro 7 LPX Gun Oil. (I keep ALL the liquids I keep in my range bag inside the appropriate size ziplock bag to minimize potential problems and cleanup inside my range bag in case of an accidental leak from, or puncture of, the product's container.) The paper clip is perfect for lifting the small applicator tip to use the M-Pro 7LPX Gun Oil when I want to use it. I've read where some reviewers have complained about the small size of the applicator tip, but I find its small size helps prevent me from applying too much of the product in any specific area of my firearm. My experience with the product's small applicator tip is that it dispenses the product one drop at a time, rather than in a stream or spray. When I use it on my firearms, I keep the part I'm lubricating with M-Pro 7 LPX Gun Oil tilted at a bit of a downward angle from the point of application because the LPX Gun Oil will naturally flow, slowly, down the surface on which it is applied. As it does so, surface energy "pulls" the "thin-coat" technology synthetic LPX lubricants into the pores of the metal with which it comes into contact, providing a very effective, long-lasting lubrication that has the lowest known friction coefficient providing the highest protection for your firearms (and other things) against wear, humidity, moisture, even salt water, that can cause rust, and leaves a thin protective film that does not evaporate or burn off quickly, doesn't separate or get gummy, and, if not applied excessively, repels, rather than collecting dirt, dust, sand, or burnt gunpowder residue (making your next cleaning job that much more difficult and time-consuming). If I accidentally apply too much of the M-Pro 7 LPX Gun Oil to my firearm and it overflows the area I want to lubricate and protect, I just wipe up the excess oil with my "LPX rag", which is a lint-free microfiber rag onto which I previously applied many drops of M-Pro 7 LPX Gun Oil, put it in a ziplock bag, and squeezed the rag inside the bag several times to distribute the LPX oil throughout it. Once I have finished cleaning my firearms, I give the metal surfaces one more wipe-down with my "LPX rag" to remove any fingerprints and body oils or acids that may have been left on my firearm during the cleaning process that might attract moisture and promote surface rusting. I avoid rubbing the stock, forearm or handgrip of my firearms, which are made of wood or synthetic materials, with my LPX rag because M-Pro 7 LPX Gun Oil does not penetrate into wood or synthetic plastics and would simply sit on their surface, making them somewhat slippery if not wiped off. I also have another use for M-Pro 7 LPX Gun Oil that has worked exceptionally well for me. I store my ammo in color-coded and clearly labeled-by- caliber ammo cans. I keep the contents of each of my ammo cans safely protected with two MasterLock Keyed-Alike Rustoleum-coated padlocks, which have strong 9/16" shackles that provides extra cut resistance. Once each year, or whenever I add a new ammo can to my "collection", I put one drop of M-Pro 7 LPX Gun Oil on each open padlock's shackle where it enters the padlock body, then turn the lock upside down and put one drop in the key slot. After giving the LPX oil a chance to flow through the lock and get to the tumblers, I insert the key and turn it clockwise and counterclockwise several times to help distribute the LPX oil to each of the pins and springs inside the tumblers in the lock. I finish by putting a drop of LPX oil into the hole in the padlock's body where the shackle slides in and engages the locking mechanism, and squeeze the padlock closed. I also use two MasterLock 14" Cable Keyed-Alike Gun Locks that I pass the cable through the holes in the ends of all the zipper pulls of my GunMate Range Bags to prevent unauthorized entry (a.k.a. snooping kids and adults) into the contents of my two range bags, one for my two Ruger .38 Special/.357 Magum revolvers, and one for my two Beretta 9mm pistols. I use the same PM lubrication/rust prevention process that I use on the padlocks securing my ammo cans on my range bags padlocks. They all open easily and quickly when I insert the proper key and turn it, and will probably continue to do that for many more years to come.

Farewell CLP
I was raised in the CLP Marine Corps and have been using CLP my entire adult life. It was going to take something spectacular to make me stop using it and M-Pro 7 lubricant was it. This lubricant is slick, clean, not gummy, and leaves that Teflon-like surface on steel. Just remember to shake it before use. You will not be disappointed with this or any other M-Pro 7 product for that matter.

Good gun oil
Update: I have been using this for several months now, which pretty much means over a dozen cleanings. My barrel is is spotless as ever and my best 5 shot groups are as good as ever (better than 1/2 inch @ 100y). I use all three of these products, the cleaner, the copper remover and oil and I am very happy with the results. I love the low odor. Will keep using. The only con I have for this cleaning system is that in vey cold weather (single digits) the copper remover was hard to use. It seemed to freeze up and felt like it was dry. I should mention on the other hand however that the gun oil has worked flawlessly in this same cold weather. Low odor, nice viscosity and seems to lubricate my rifle well.

Excellent Lubrication With No Odor
I have been looking for a non toxic no odor alternative to what I have been previously using. M-Pro7 lubricant/protectant is exactly what I have been looking for(and so is their cleaner). Other products that I have been using had odors that lasted for days and some were not exactly safe either. I had no such problem with M-Pro7. I really like this lubricant/protectant and use their cleaner also. I really don't want to use dangerous or smelly products anymore. M-Pro7 products also deliver high performance which is important to me too.

Good product
I've used this stuff for years. I've tried plenty of lube/ cleaners over the last decade. I like the thickness of this stuff, and the bottle doesn't leak. The only lube I like more is slip 2000, but Those bottles leak everywhere. I put 1000 rounds through a rifle with just one thin coat of this stuff, without drying up and failing. My main concern is rust and corrosion prevention....in which case this stuff is also excellent. I live in Arizona, and sweat all over my stuff. No rust. It's easy to use. Cleans, lubricated and protects....as advertised. One negative....to get carbon buildup off the back of a bolt, you will need more than this.

This stuff is fantastic, if your a gun guy or girl you need this stuff
Just built a new high end M4/AR and wanted to find the best products to protect the new baby and decided to try the MPRO-7 LPX and cleaner. After the build was complete I started treating the metals with the LPX by applying wet coat and and letting stand to bond and soak in before wiping excess off and repeated daily for a few days before taking it to the range for its innagural firing test, had my nephew take her to the range and test fire it alongside his Oracle AR untreated to have a comparison, in all fairness most of the BCG are nickel boron or solid chrome or stainless in mine but either way it fired flawlessly its first test fire since being built, my nephews AR malfunctioned a few times so he brought them both home and went out so I decided to clean mine and when I opened it up I thought he had cleaned it at the range before coming home because there was hardly anything on the gun and I figured he couldn't do a thorough cleaning in the field so I wiped everything down and all carbon and fouling buildup came right off with a dry clean rag so later when he came home he said he hadn't cleaned it at all so it was the mpro7 stuff that kept anything from sticking, I mean it was very very little even less then firing a single round not 60 rounds so I cleaned and used the LPX again and wiped excess and the next day he took both rifles out again but this time his had been cleaned and treated with the MPRO stuff too and again what little was on the components came off with a clean dry cloth and the surface of the metals felt slick, almost like ice slick, so this stuff is a great investment also the second day firing his rifle didn't malfunction once so now it runs smooth and very little actually sticks to the surface of the treated parts so ill only use this stuff as long as it's available unless someone comes out with something better? Even then I would think real hard before I quit using this stuff and then only a slim maybe so you gotta give this stuff a try on your guns you shoot most or least, put on a wet coat let sit for fifteen minutes and wipe excess and repeat for a few days to really get it bonded with the metals surfaces and you'll notice your guns will be a ton easier to clean and will perform better then ever BC

Really slippery
This is very slippery oil - this oil is different from most others - when seen in a test tube, it is milky, unlike most other oils - after trying at least one of every gun oil "out there", this oil seems to be the best (for my purposes) - Caution - very little goes a long way

The best liquid L/P I've found - period.
I tested this quite a bit before I purchased. I wrote to M-Pro 7 requesting samples back in March of 2011. I did a saltwater corrosion test with a 5% saltwater solution sprayed on nickel-plated steel fasteners. I tested LPX against other products such as Weapons Shield, Otis Dry Lube, Frog Lube, BreakFree CLP, Mobil 1, and Militec-1. Everything except the LPX-coated fastener developed within 3 days of being sprayed with saltwater. I did the test in April, it is now the end of June and the LPX fastener has just started developing surface rust within the last week. Because LPX is superior in corrosion prevention to anything else I have ever used, I took a small clean rag, coated it with numerous drops of LPX, twisted the rag to distribute the product into the fibers, and stored the rag folded in a zip lock bag. I now have the LPX equivalent to a silicone gun/reel cloth. I use this to wipe down exposed metal parts of my firearms after carrying or cleaning. As for lubrication, I can notice no real difference between this and premium silicone-based lubricants. It is extremely slick, and I have had no jams on any of my weapons (shotguns, rifles, handguns) since using it. I have put over 300 rounds on one of my guns without re-lubricating or cleaning more than a barrel patch, and LPX has not broken down yet. It's only downsides stem from the fact that it is a liquid, and the downsides are only relative to the situation. They are: 1) If you over-lubricate, it will migrate and/or run. This could be an issue for concealed carry. I recommend buying a bottle/pen with a needle tip applicator that will only release a very small amount of product. A little goes a long way. Either that, or simply wipe a film onto the surface. I have not noticed any staining or discoloring from wood or composite pieces that have been exposed to this product. 2) It does leave a film. Again, this could be a problem if you are concealed carrying. But, this fil

I have not tried M-Pro 7's copper remover, but LPX does remove copper from my barrels. I run LPX patches through after cleaning the barrel with Hoppes Elite GC, and can see the copper fouling on the patch. The only other copper remover I have is Hoppes Copper Solvent, and after using LPX the Hoppes does not appear to remove any additional copper. All in all, this is now my go-to liquid L/P, and copper remover.
